A Dream Born in Belgium, Rooted in France: Château Famaey

The story of Château Famaey is one of daring and friendship. It began with Luc and Marc, two childhood friends from Belgium who shared a singular vision: to produce exceptional wine from the historic Terroir of Cahors. In 2001, that dream took flight when they became proprietors of a stunning 33 hectare vineyard situated on the prestigious terraces of the Lot Valley.
Today, the legacy continues with Luc’s son, Maarten, who stepped in as Maître de Chai (Master of the Cellar). Under his passionate leadership, the estate has evolved, blending 170 years of history (the vineyard dates back to 1850) with a modern, dynamic approach to winemaking.
Le Côtes de Gascogne de Famaey
While the estate is famous for its "Modern Cahors" Malbecs, their Côtes de Gascogne White Blend is the hidden gem of the Southwest. It is a bright, lively, and incredibly aromatic experience that captures the freshness of the Côtes de Gascogne.
The Blend
34% Sauvignon Blanc
33% Colombard
33% Ugni Blanc
