Casalini Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is an underappreciated and affordable varietal. That's why we're showcasing the Casalini Montepulciano d'Abruzzo as this weeks Kramer's Wine of the Week.

A great introduction to Italian wines, Montepulciano is approachable with moderate acidity and ample tannins that are rarely harsh. Popular but often overlooked, discover this wine today and begin your foray into Italy's second most grown grape (after Sangiovese).

Produced with Montepulciano grapes that come from the rugged, hilly Abruzzo region in central Italy, known for the production of rich, robust reds, this wine has a deep plum color with intense aromas of spice and cherries. Casalini Montepulciano has a luscious, fruity, medium-bodied palate and smooth tannins.

Enjoy at room temperature with pasta, pizza, red meat, or cheese.
