After Part 1, I never imagined this community would embrace my story… our story… the way you did. You didn’t just show up for food and music — you showed up for history. For memory. For the little town my grandparents loved with everything they had.
I know they’re smiling in heaven right now. Because even after so many years gone, Richmond keeps making them feel welcomed. Keeps saying their names. Keeps their spirit alive through you.
That’s what Sabor A Casa is. It’s not just my table. It’s ours.
It doesn’t matter if you were born on Broad Street or in Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Madrid, São Paulo, or anywhere else around the world. If you moved here last year or your family’s been here for five generations. If you speak Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, Arabic, or mix them all in the same sentence.
